Hi neighbors,

I am planning a townhall meeting with two local area legislators, Bob Dettmer and Matt Dean to update you on current local issues and to hear what is important to you and what we, as legislators, need to discuss at the legislature. Your input is vital for me to represent you at the Capitol. Please refer to the Press Release below for details.

 

TOWNHALL MEETING, Tuesday, OCT. 23, HUGO CITY HALL

 

Representatives Carol McFarlane (R-White Bear Lake), Bob Dettmer (R - Forest Lake), Matt Dean (R- Dellwood), and announced today that they will be conducting a town meeting in Hugo on Tuesday, October 23. The lawmakers will meet from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Hugo City Hall, 14669 Fitzgerald Ave. N., Hugo.

 

Minnesota House Minority Leader Marty Seifert (R-Marshall) will also be in attendance.

 

The lawmakers said the focus of the meeting will be health care, education, transportation, and taxes and they invite feedback from the public. The Representatives remarked how important it is for people to talk with them about their opinions on the issues. They encourage everyone to come let their voices be heard on Tuesday, October 23.

Carol McFarlane receives "Outstanding Legislator of the Year" award from the Minnesota School Boards Association

The Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) has recognized Sen. Sandy Rummel, DFL-White Bear Lake, with its 2007 Legislator of the Year Award and Rep. Carol McFarlane, R-White Bear Lake, with its 2007 Outstanding Legislator Award. The awards were presented Friday, Aug. 17 during MSBA’s Summer Seminar in Bloomington.

Carol Awarded Fellowship for Midwestern Leadership Institute

State Representative Carol McFarlane (R-White Bear Lake) was among 37 select lawmakers from the Midwest, and was one of three from Minnesota, chosen to participate in a training program that annually identifies and assists promising state leaders in the Midwest. Click here to read more
